What are the different roles in Zena?
Zena has four roles. Superadmin has full platform access including billing and tenant settings. Admin can manage team members, configure settings, and access all conversations. Agent can view and reply to conversations assigned to them or unassigned. Viewer can read conversations but cannot send messages or make changes.
How does round-robin assignment work?
When round-robin is enabled, Zena automatically assigns each new incoming WhatsApp conversation to the next available agent in rotation. Agents are cycled in order so the workload is distributed evenly without a manager manually routing every conversation. Available on Growth and Business plans.
Can I deactivate a team member without deleting their conversation history?
Yes. Deactivating a team member in Zena removes their access immediately but preserves all conversation history, notes, and assignment records. Their past activity remains fully visible in the audit log and conversation timeline. You can reactivate a deactivated member at any time.
Are audit logs available on all plans?
Full audit logs covering every agent action, settings change, and conversation event are available on Business and Agency plans. Starter and Growth plans include conversation-level history and assignment records but do not include the full platform-wide audit log.
Can agents on different teams see each other conversations?
By default, all agents on the same workspace can see all conversations in the shared inbox. On Business plans, number-based routing allows you to configure which conversations from each WhatsApp number are visible to which agents, creating functional team separation within one workspace.
